Christmas Festivities at The Ashton

staff dressed up as elves for christmas

Take a look at what we’ve been up to at The Ashton in December and the exciting festive activities we’ve got coming up for the rest of the month:

Friday 2nd December

We joined in ELF day raising money for Alzheimer's Society.  Some of the staff dressed up and we invited families of our residents along to have tea/coffee and cake in the afternoon.  We also have an ongoing "Guess the name of the Gonk" at reception for families to have a go at.

Saturday 3rd December

We had our Christmas party, again inviting residents' families along to enjoy some festive fare and we had Enderby Brass Band along to entertain us.

Monday 5th December

The children from Hinckley Parks Primary school came along and sang some of their Christmas songs for us with us joining in the ones we knew.

Tuesday 6th December

We had a visit from some of the young people from Everyday Living and enjoyed some Christmas fun and sang Christmas songs.

Wednesday 7th December

The local council put on minibuses for local care homes to go out and look around the Christmas lights in Hinckley.  We had great fun and stopped outside the church for coffee and mince pies.

Monday 12th December

We were lucky today to get a last-minute visit from Hinckley School YR10 drama students who performed a short piece from their pantomime.

Wednesday 14th December

The Little Explorers from St Peter's Church are coming along to have a Christmas party with us. We will be listening to them singing their Christmas songs and then we are going to do some Christmas colouring with them. For afternoon entertainment, we have one of our lovely resident's Daughter coming in to create Christmas table centrepieces with us ready for Christmas Day.

Thursday 15th December

In the afternoon we have Holy Trinity Church Choir coming in to sing carols.

Wednesday 21st December

We have entertainment from Interactive Mike and his partner. After mike will help us draw the Christmas raffle.

If you have any questions about the activities we have planned in December, or to learn more about the care services we offer at our care home in Hinckley, do not hesitate to contact our lovely team who will be delighted to help in any way they can.
