Our Nursing Home in Leicestershire

Our Activities Coordinators love nothing more than organising a fun-filled activities schedule each week for residents, as we believe it’s important to provide engaging activities that are not just enjoyable, but give residents the opportunity to experience new things and learn new skills. Activities that residents have thoroughly enjoyed in the past include board games, arts & crafts, games, baking and film afternoons.

We spend the time getting to know our residents in order to learn everything there is to know about them including their likes, dislikes, strengths and abilities for us to incorporate within a resident’s personalised care plan. We ensure that the activities and social events we offer meet the many interests of our residents.

Dementia Care

Dementia is a neurological condition that commonly affects an older person’s brain which hinders one’s memory, cognitive thinking and social abilities. Residents living with dementia can continue to live a happy life through specialist dementia care. Our mission is to provide loving support that betters a resident’s life while helping to retain their independence for as long as possible.

We understand that every dementia resident requires a different level of care, as the progression of dementia differs from person to person, therefore we tailor our care plans following a care needs assessment to ensure effective care is always provided. We are proud to provide appropriate activities and therapies that helps residents get the very most out of their surroundings.

Respite Care

Respite care is a type of short-term care available to those in need of care for a period of time, usually a few weeks or months, depending on a person’s circumstances. Respite care is a great solution for individuals who are caring full-time for a loved one and in need of a break while they get their energy levels back. Our staff will provide exceptional care during the period of respite.

This is also a great care option for those who have recently experienced a fall or had an operation or illness, where they can fully recover before returning to their daily routines. Those looking to trial a care home can use respite care to stay at our nursing home in Leicestershire for a few weeks, before deciding whether to move in permanently.

Here to Support You

Finding the perfect home in Leicestershire for you or a loved one can often be an overwhelming situation to be in. You may have noticed that a loved one is finding it difficult to maintain their housekeeping duties or that they are forgetful which may suggest early symptoms of Dementia. We want to make the transitional period of moving into a care home as easy as possible and welcome you into our home to discuss your care requirements.

Our experienced team understands that every resident will require a different level of care that’s why every person who enters our home receives a care plan that solely meets their care needs which will be regularly reviewed. We are proud to be regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The Care Quality Commission is a governing body that assesses all residential care homes and nursing homes in England and provides an overall rating. Following this, if a care home is less than satisfactory, support will be given to improve particular areas of the home.
