PART TIME COOK 

The Ashton Care Home is currently looking for a Part Time Cook to join their excellent kitchen team.

The role involves working closely with the Head Chef to prepare nutritious meals for their residents. 

This role is for 19 hours per week to include regular weekends on a rota, hours 7am - 6pm.

Duties will include food preparation, cleaning as directed by schedule, accepting deliveries and stock rotation, serving our residents, and other associated kitchen duties.

NIGHT-TIME CARE ASSISTANTS 

The Ashton Care Home are currently looking for friendly, experienced Night-Time Care Assistants, to become key members of their team.

What they have to offer to their service users is a private, 72-bedroom nursing home situated in the picturesque town of Hinckley. Their team are highly experienced and dedicated to providing a holistic approach to care and a friendly, personal service to each of their residents.

The role is focussed on delivering genuine person centred care for elderly residents ensuring that their dignity and individuality is retained at all times. The approach to care at The Ashton is about ensuring that each resident’s health, wellbeing and interests are catered for consistently.

As well as looking after the care needs of our residents, you will be involved in the general activities of the Care Home and will be expected to maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, staff members and visitors.

Applicants must have previous experience and a genuine interest in working with elderly residents within a caring environment. A willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programmes would be ideal. Applicants should be able to communicate effectively and fluently at all levels and be comfortable working as part of a friendly team. An NVQ in care is not necessary for this post though it would be an advantage. Satisfactory Police and DBS/CRB checks apply to this role.

NIGHT-TIME NURSES

The Ashton Care Home are currently looking for friendly, experienced Night-Time Nurses to become key members of their team.

What they have to offer to their service users is a private, 72-bedroom nursing home situated in the picturesque town of Hinckley. Their team are highly experienced and dedicated to providing a holistic approach to care and a friendly, personal service to each of their residents.

The successful candidates will become part of an experienced team, demonstrate excellent communication skills and be motivated to offer the highest standards of care to our residents. The Ashton expect candidates to be able to undertake all appropriate aspects of nursing care required in a Care Home environment. Responsibilities will include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for residents to ensure continuity of care.

All applicants must be qualified RGN / RMN and will have a genuine interest in working with the elderly. Exemplary communication skills are essential and applicants must be able to communicate on a variety of levels in fluent English. Current NMC Registration is necessary and DBS/CRB checks also apply to this role.

Experience in care for the elderly and previous supervisory experience would be advantageous for this role but is not essential.

VOLUNTEERS WANTED 

The Ashton Care Home in Hinckley is currently looking for Volunteers to join our team in supporting the care and wellbeing of our residents. Whether you have a few hours that you’d like to spare in your local community, or are looking to gain valuable care experience through volunteering – we’d love to hear from you.

The main role of our volunteers is spending time and socialising with our residents – whether it’s through weekly visits, helping out on external excursions or assisting with activities at the home. There are no qualifications required, just a friendly, positive attitude, the ability to work well as part of a team and a desire to make a difference in the lives of the elderly. A full induction will be provided, and as well as the opportunity to learn new skills and make new friends – you’ll have fun, too!
